WDYK POW63 is a 2-pole smart Residual Current Operated Circuit Breaker (RCBO), which controls the live and neutral wires at the same time, equipped with WiFi and comes with support for eWeLink cloud and eWeLink app. It is a high performance professional solution, supporting max. 63A perfomance. The max. performance is configurable, up to 63A, so you may set any values (such as 10A, 16A, etc. according to the controlled devices. You may set in the app It can be used to switch high-performance electronic devices such as a sauna or electric heating.
But it is not just a circuit breaker though, as it has a power metering / energy monitoring capability, so it also can be used to measure power consumption. Thanks to the high capacity of max. 63A, it can also be used to measure consumption of a whole building having single-phase electric supply.
It also features a built-in overload-protection, protects the connected device for overvoltage and overpower.
What is the difference between an MCB and RCBO?
MCB cannot protect against earth faults, while the RCBOs can protect against electric shocks and earth faults, too. MCBs monitor the current flow and interrupt circuits during short circuits and overload. In contrast, RCBOs monitor the current flow through the line and return flow in the neutral line. Also, the RCBOs can interrupt the circuit during earth leakage, short circuit, and overcurrent.
RCBO can protect against earth leakage currents, short circuits, and overcurrent, while MCB only offers protection against short circuits and overcurrent.
Needs Live and Neutral on the input side and has Live and Neutral on the output side, too. Using the eWeLink app, one may turn ON / OFF the breaker via Internet and iOS (Apple) or Android smartphone App, and also one can set scheduled turning ON / OFFs. The device has a physical button too, similarly to traditional breakers. Share remote control in the App with others is also supported. Ideal solution to smart control high-performance appliances such as saunas or electric heaters, as well as, a useful solution to measure power consumption of high performance devices.
Features real-time power metering, daily and monthly statistics are displayed in the mobile app. It also supports downloading the consumption data to your smartphone in CSV format. The smart switch relay provides help not only in remote and scheduled turning ON / OFF ideal solution to understand and optimize your power consumption too.
It meters not only actual power consumption, but also shows actual voltage and current data on the screen. It has OPS (overload protection setting) available (with minimum power, maximum power, maximum current and maximum voltage settings). 100 days of consumption data history export is supported to smartphone from eWeLink cloud in CSV format.
